Japanese carpenters have a
tradition of starting the job with a
huge bottle of sake.  The 40'
containers, loaded with all of our
supplies, arriving from the port
were late and the carpenters
decided it was time to drink a
toast, to the joint venture.
 What a
day that was.... unloading
containers with a little "buzz".
Once the framing to the roof was
completed, it was time to
celebrate again.  Dinner, lots of
sake, beer, wine and finishing off
the night with Karaoke.
The Vice President of Matsuo
got so snockered drunk, that he
decided to lay down, on the
sidewalk and go to sleep right
there, in his suit.  I tried to get
him to go home, but he refused.
In Japan, it's not unusual to see
workers coming home late at
night, without feeling a sense of
danger.
