How many estimates should I get?
Most people get two to three estimates. This way
they can compare and get a good idea of what the
project is going to realistically cost. Make sure that
the estimates are within 10-15% of each other. If
they aren’t, you should inquire why one is so much
higher or lower. Make sure that each contractor
has the same understanding of the project.
