The existing stairs were straight, steep and uncomfortable to walk up and down. As this
new area was going to be used quite frequently, we re-configured the flow of the stairs,
installing a winder at the bottom. We also changed the rise and run, to make for a more
comfortable step. The closet floor, in the bedroom above the stairwell, was altered as well,
to provide for the needed headroom clearances. At AHD we try to maintain a "clean,
working environment", at all times.
